Wooden houses· Landscape 木屋·山水

In the early days of Hong Kong, most of the wooden houses were built on hillsides. The environment was narrow, old and dilapidated. It is believed that the living conditions were poor at that time, but people also moved in one after another in order to seek a safe life. But I painted it in the form of Chinese landscape painting. The beautiful landscape and the old wooden house area became a conflict. I live in the beautiful scenery of landscape painting in my heart. Ironically, although the place to live is a wooden house, it is already a beautiful place for people.

香港早年的木屋區多是倚山坡而建，環境狹窄、殘舊、破爛不堪，相信當時生活條件較差，但人們為了求安居也紛紛入住。我卻把它畫成中國山水畫之形態一樣，美麗山水和殘舊木屋區成了衝突，心中住入山水畫之美景，反諷安居之所雖然是木屋，但已是人們美景之地。
